Child Protection Policy

Clydeside Orienteers adhere to the SOA Child Protection Policy which is available on the SOA website.
If you have any Child Protection concerns then report them to one of the contacts on the SOA website

Club members taking part in coaching courses or becoming involved with club training and coaching events for children should be aware that a new scheme was implemented on 28th February 2011, the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme, which replaces the previous enhanced Disclosure scheme.  It introduces the concept of ‘regulated’ work.  Anyone who works (which includes caring, teaching, instructing, training, supervising, being in sole charge or having unsupervised contact) with children or protected adults will be considered to be carrying out regulated work and will have to be a member of the PVG scheme.  Information can be found on the Scottish Orienteering, PVG Scotland or Disclosure Scotland websites.

If you have not had a Police Disclosure done, and could be involved with juniors, contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for details of how to go about it.
