CLYDE Successes at Scottish Night Champs Weekend
While most of the rest of Britain was lashed by Storm Dennis, a number of CLYDEsiders headed north to the Moravian Orienteers Winter Warmer Weekend for two days to high quality orienteering consisting of the Scottish Night Championships held on a mixture of urban, forest and technical sand dune terrain at Findhorn on Saturday night and the first Scottish Orienteering League event of the year held in bright sunshine on classic technical forest terrain at Darnaway on Sunday morning. Top CLYDE performances at the Scottish Night Championships were gold (and the overall Scottish SuperVet trophy) for Steve Wilson and silver to Dave Robertson in M55 and bronze for Rachel Wilson in W50, plus a gold in M21 (missing the overall Scottish Night Champs trophy by only 30 seconds) for Thomas Wilson running for EUOC.
