A fantastic result for Hollie Orr today, winning the women’s British Sprint Championship held today at the University of Sussex.
Results of the final, in what was a very strong field including last year’s winner Sarah Rollins, are at http://www.sportident.co.uk/results/2011/BritishSprintMiddle/sprint_finals/w_elite_-_a.html
Jessica Orr just missed out on qualifying for the final, still finishing a strong 9th in her heat and 8th in the B-final, while Robert Patterson finished 7th in the M16 B-final.
Murray Strain of Interlopers made it a double success for Scotland, winning the men’s British Sprint title by 9 seconds from last year’s champion Graham Gristwood.
In the British Middle Distance Champs held on Sunday near Crawley, Hollie finished 3rd on W21 and Jessica finished 7th on W20, two more excellent results.
