Riverside rat race Glasgow
3 Clyde members competed in the Glasgow river rat race at the weekend. Find out how they got on here…..
Claire and Andrew MacPherson took cross training to another level when they took part in the popular Glasgow River Rat Race on Sunday 21 August.
Claire finished in 545th and described it as:
“Inflatable hurdles, lots of steps, off road running, kayaking on the clyde, paddling under the squinty bridge, ropework course on the finnieston crane, swimming in the clyde and finally jumping off the tall ship into the clyde. 10.6km run in between. Great fun.”
Claire sportingly let Andrew finish a few places ahead of her in 542nd to spare his blushes.
Plaudits must go to Rory Matheson who is something of a specialist at these events and finished in a stunning 14th position.
Apologies if I have missed any other Clydesiders in the results.
