*** The Grade C Controllers’ course is the starting point for anyone wishing to become a controller – it’s also a really good way to improve your technical knowledge and understanding of the rules of orienteering. Basic competence at TD5 is all that’s required before you attend the course. Venue and actual date will be confirmed to suit participants – please contact Hilary as soon as possible so details can be finalised.
British Orienteering Club & Association Conference
Bookings for this close on 3rd October; the theme is “Local Orienteering Events”. I will be attending on behalf of the SOA. If you want me to convey or extract any specific information, please get in touch – .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
A reminder to club Fixtures secretaries – please remember to put your (abbreviated) club name at the beginning of the name of your event. It is considered helpful to newcomers trying to identify events local to them.
More LiDAR data
The Scottish Government has contacted sportscotland and informed them that additional LiDAR data will become available shortly. Coverage is less extensive than the first issue of data but it will fill a few gaps. Previous data requests from clubs will be reviewed and if new data is available this can be supplied.
