Funding for UKCC Level 1 coach education
Anyone intending to book on a UKCC Level 1 coach course should allow 6 weeks for the process of applying for funding from sportScotland, as described at http://www.scottish-orienteering.org/natcen/page/funding-for-ukcc-level-1-courses-from-2012/
Teaching Orienteering courses
A schedule has been drawn up for Teaching Orienteering courses to be run throughout Scotland across the next 2 years. Clubs are encouraged to arrange some local events to link with these, and to make contact with the schools that send participants. Regional Coaching Workshops
A series of highly practical coaching workshops will be held throughout 2012, starting on 31st March in Aberdeenshire. Licensed coaches may attend any or all of them; dates and venues are on the general course schedule:

Club Development Conference
The second SOA Club Development Conference will be held on Saturday 26th May at Fordell Firs, Dunfermline. Each club should aim to send at least one representative.
Scottish Championships Weekend 2012
The 2012 Scottish Championships will form the core of a 4-day, 5-event orienteering festival on Deeside hosted by MAROC and GRAMP, Saturday 2nd to Tuesday 5th June.

BOF Development Fund
Next cutoff date for applications is 9th January 2012.
BOF – Schools Orienteering
The BOF schools affiliation process has now been completed and schools and interested individuals can now register for free on the British Orienteering website to receive information on how to set up an orienteering project in the school environment. Form at
