Nopesport Urban League final standings
Event report
Congratulations to Claire MacPherson who this year achieved Clyde’s highest position so far in the 4 year history of the Nopesport Urban League by finishing 5th overall in the Open Women category. Claire was unlucky to be unwell for the final race at Penrith as she finished the season with only 5 counting races (best 6 from 12 to count). With a decent counting score at Penrith she may well have finished in the top 3.
A number of other Clyde memebers competed in one or more events and the overall results can be found here.
Final Nopesport Urban League positions
Individual race winners included Thomas Wilson at Erskine on Junior mens, and Dave Robertson (Vet Men)who impressively won at Erskine and Lossiemouth, his only two events.
The two Andy’s had an exciting battle in Vet Men over the course of the year, with Andy MacPherson (11th overall) coming out on top by 3 places after the final race at Penrith.
If you are interested in Urban Orienteering keep an eye on the SOA website for details for the proposed Scottish Urban League in 2012. This will be run along the same lines as the Nopesport league but focusing on events in Scotland.
