Clyde Monthly Coaching Sat 1 March

Event type: Activity

Thanks to everyone who came along and hopefully enjoyed today’s coaching session at Linwood. We had a total of 14 people there today in various roles from participant/coach/helper/babysitter which meant the post-session coffee in Linwood On-x Sports centre had quite a sociable feel to it. And the weather was considerably better than the last time! Welcome to Tara and Tracey, both first timers at Clyde coaching, who coped well with the adult score course.

Map of Linwood MossTerrain description

A wonderfully mixed area of housing estate, parkland, semi-wild open, and dense woodland. An excellent area for training and shorter races - you’ll have to keep your wits about you to run well here. Based around the Linwood Sports Hub, sponsored by Linwood Community Sports Hub, a Sportscotland/Renfrewshire Council initiative.

CLYDE monthly O coaching on Sat 1 March at 10am-11:30am at Linwood OnX sports centre. See below for details of the activities for this session. There are 3 separate sessions this month:

1. For adults only (or accompanied juniors). Urban sprint training. Exciting head to head racing over single controls with route choice analysis. Running shoes are OK for this. Shorts are OK.

2. For novice adults. A score course where you have to try and visit all of the controls in any order. (Running shoes or trail shoes if you have them, full leg cover best to avoid scratches - mostly on tracks)

3. For juniors. A Technical difficulty 2 course (yellow - fairly easy) around the paths and tracks. May be muddy.

Bring clothes suitable for the weather eg waterproof and warm clothing.
