CLYDE Evening Erskine Urban Race Thursday 27 August

Event type: Activity

We are delighted to announce the success of the first post-lockdown Clyde race. Results are available here.

We obviously had to make some adjustments to comply with the (very sensible) SOA covid rules and guidelines. In particular, the event was only for club members and you had to pre-enter so that we could allocate start times and avoid congestion. Full details below.
We hope you enjoyed the race, despite the sometimes torrential weather.
Thanks to all who have read many guidelines and filled in many forms to make this possible.

Where: Bargarran community centre. 6 Bargarran Road.  PA8 6BS

When: Starts times 5-30 to 6-30pm   preallocated

Pre-enter by Tuesday 25th August by email to [email protected] stating name, course(s) you wish to run and a contact number. The contact number is only for passing to Contact Tracing if necessary and will not be used for any other purpose.

There can be no entry on the day.

Start times published at latest by Thursday am.

Lamppost course. All controls are lampposts, the control code on the descriptions is the number on the lamppost, e.g. R7. There will be NO control flags or units - we expect you to be able to recognise a lamppost. No dibbers required!

Timing: The courses start and finish on the far side of a footbridge from the carpark. We expect you to time yourself round the course and tell us the honest time! We will time you to and from the carpark but this will be longer than your course time.

2 courses: Short 2.2km,  Medium 2.6km. You can do both courses to make a Long of 4.8km

Sorry but club members only
