Spring Series of Local Evening Events
We have organised a Spring Series of five informal local evening events, namely

Tuesday May 3rd: Mosshead
Thursday May 19th: Milngavie Centre
Tuesday May 31st: Houston
Thursday 16th June: Garnethill M8dness
Please take part in as many as you can!

Thomas Wilson selected to represent Great Britain at the World University Championships
CLYDEsider Thomas Wilson, currently resident in Spain, has been selected to represent Great Britain at the World University Championships to be held in Switzerland this August.
CLYDE at JK 2022
A small but enthusiatic group of CLYDEsiders made the long trip to South Wales for the Easter weekend to compete in arguably the most important orienteering event in the UK orienteering calendar, the Jan Kjellstrom International Festival of Orienteering.
CLYDE at the Scottish Sprint Championships 2022
A weekend of sunny weather and furious sprint racing in Dundee saw several strong CLYDE performances, but the standout results were definitely the crowning of Donald Petrie as the new Scottish Men's Ultravets Sprint Champion and a third place (second W65) on the Women's Ultravets course for Amelia Petrie. CLYDE Dumbarton Urban Orienteering Event on 5th March 2022
Thanks to everyone who took part in CLYDE's first major event of 2022, namely our Scottish Urban Orienteering League (SOUL) event on a new map of Dumbarton on 5th March 2022. Simple results are here, for full results click on the "Results" link above.
CLYDE Sprint Training at Linwood a Great Success
Thanks for Andy Paterson for organising some great sprint orienteering training at Linwood on 30th January, consisting of a straight-or-round pairs exercise and two mass start sprint exercises. We even managed to avoid the rain showers! The mass start courses can be run anytime by anyone as "Linwood A" and "Linwood B" using MapRun6.
CLYDE Annual Awards 2021
CLYDE's annual award winners for 2021 were announced at the recent AGM and are
- Most Improved Male – Thomas Wilson
- Most Improved Female – Alice Wilson
- Cannon Trophy (for most SOL Points) – Amelia Petrie
- Croy Bowl – Alastair Dunlop (for organising the website upgrade)
- Best Performance – Alice McCartney (for her run at the British Relays)
Steve Wilson gets a late call-up for Scotland
CLYDEside member Steve Wilson was a late addition to the Scottish team which came an honourable second to England at the Veteran Home International held in Surrey in December 2021.
Thomas Wilson wins the Barcelona City Race
CLYDE member Thomas Wilson was victorious in the Barcelona City Race held on 31st October 2021.
